The Vimazi Trail Z2 is designed and engineered for running on trails and soft surfaces between 8:00-12:00 minutes per mile (5:00-7:30 min/km). With an aggressive tread, external rear stabilizer, stump-ready toe protection, and built-in forefoot control during push-off, the Z2 will take you where you want to go. When you run on trails in this pace zone, the Trail Z2 delivers optimized cushioning and max efficiency for the way you run.

WHO IT'S FOR 
Run trails in this pace zone, and you'll always want to grab the Z2. Great for 5-mile trail runs between 40-60 minutes, and amazing on 30-mile runs in the 4-6 hour range.

TRAIL Z2 DESIGN NOTES

RUNNER WEIGHT: The Vimazi Trail Z2 is engineered for average weight runners. 

CUSHIONING: We’ve adjusted the density of the FastPod midsoles to provide optimized cushioning for the impact forces you generate between 8-12 minutes per mile (5:00-7:30 min/km) out on the trail. Forget about "max" cushioning for some rando runner in a different pace zone—get optimal cushioning for the way you run. 

PROPULSION: We tuned the forefoot FastPods in the Trail Z2 to deliver maximally efficient energy return given the forces needed to propel you forward at this pace.

DROP: We built a 5mm drop into the Trail Z2 to reduce the chance of a negative heel angle during impact. 

SOLE DESIGN: Rocker design and fortified arch outsole for ideal propulsion. According to our recent paper on arch compression, forces on the arch are greatest during the push-off phase of your stride (not the impact phase). Many shoe designs carve out the arch area, exaggerating pronation. The Trail Z2 keeps the outsole area under the arch filled in to provide support during push-off, precisely when you need it most.
