FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

  • A pace-tuned shoe is scientifically engineered for maximum performance within a pace zone. The midsole cushions the specific impact force. A forefoot FastPod increases propulsion at push off. The problem: Midsole foam can’t keep up. It doesn’t respond correctly to this wide range of forces. Pace-tuning—between heel and forefoot and between pace zones—is the only way to ensure the best cushioning and most efficiency.

  • When running, propulsion forces are dramatically greater than impact forces. Similarly, forces at 6 min/mile are far more intense than they are at 10 min/mile.

  • The heel is well-cushioned. The forefoot is slightly firmer, energizing push-off. The rocker design and responsive forefoot give you a propulsive feel, especially in your pace zone. You'll notice a distinct tuning difference between models.

  • Vimazi shoes are all neutral and let your foot follow it`s individual way of running. If you have severe issues with pronation, you could insert your own correction sole of course. But the shoes does not provide any kind of special support for any foot deformities.

  • Vimazi was launched in America frist in autumn 2022 and now the worldwide extension of the distributor network just started.

  • Vimazi comes from the Greek and means Pace zone. The «V» in our logo represents velocity.

  • No, the shoes are dedicated to provide you with the best cushioning and maximal forward propulsion in a defined pace zone. The shoe itself will not make you faster, but more training certainly will.

  • The physical an mathematical calculations behind are based on an average runner in each pace zone (weight, hight, gender) including their style of running (e.g. heel striker) and are prooven in the lab and in several marathon races.

  • We are working hard to get into brick an mortar retail. In the meantime, check out our online store www.vimazi.ch

  • Practice has shown that the US size is a good reference. Just pick your existing shoe and check for the US size. Alternatively you could measure your feet and consult the size table. Be aware that your feet expands during running and running shoe size should be picked a little bigger than your normal shoes.
