Vimazi Europe is the new main sponsor of the New Year's Marathon in Zurich

Welcome to the Zurich New Year's Marathon, the world's first marathon that takes place in Zurich every New Year. We are thrilled to announce that Vimazi Europe, previously the marathon's category sponsor, is now the proud main sponsor of the New Year's Marathon!

Every year, motivated runners start the new year, with the starting gun ringing exactly at midnight so that the participants can run into the new year under a sky full of fireworks. Passing the fireworks volcanoes in front of the Unterrohr sports hall in Schlieren, the runners make their way to Zurich and run a 10.55 km long loop along the beautiful banks of the Limmat before running back through the sports hall, where the spectators cheer them on.

This event is not only a unique opportunity to start the year active and healthy, but also a celebratory event that brings runners and families from all over the world together. Our marathon offers the unique opportunity to set an annual world best time in your respective category, which will then be confirmed by World Athletics.
