Eve Schaffer's path to the top triathlon world class

The Swiss young triathlete Eve Schaffer is the first individual athlete supported by Vimazi. Even at the beginning of her young career, Eve noticed that her heart was beating for the middle and long distance Triathlon and that her skills are better for it, than just for short distances. She is a very strong-willed and persistent personality. Her mental strength and willingness to suffer pain are her biggest weapons in the fight against the competition and oneself. It's very unusual at a young age to start with middle and long distance triathlon. Out of this reason, Eve does not receive any support from Swiss Triathlon, because the association is supporting only young athletes who want to go the short distance route first.

When Eve contacted Vimazi Switzerland with her request for support, we immediately recognized many parallels. Vimazi is also a young brand struggling with its own challenges, just like Eve. It is probably the will and fighting spirit that connects us. One thing led us to another and we are proud that we can accompany and support Eve on her journey. It is important to us to give something back to the sport. Even though we are still small at Vimazi, we have big dreams and we think long-term.

Eve says the following about success: For me, success means achieving your own goals and Milestones and overcoming challenges. Success can also mean that you continually improve yourself and your Skills continually develope. But also achieving outstanding performance in competition is part of success. Let`s take a closer look at Eve`s successes so far

The dream

Ever since Eve started triathlon, the dream of attending the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii was growing day by day. In 1978, the first Ironman was born out of a beer bet in Hawaii and was the birth of the Ironman Triathlons. Over the years, the Ironman in Hawaii has become a myth. It is one of the toughest endurance races of the world and pushes all athletes beyond their physical abilities and boundaries. Especially the elements heat, wind and Moisture makes some triathletes give up forced. Eve's dream is to experience this myth for herself and allow to push herself and her body beyond all these limits.

Her big goal is to get a professional license in triathlon. In the future, Eve will focus on the middle and long distances and try to meet the criteria there to comply with a professional license. After her successes in cross triathlon in 2023, she will also remain loyal to cross triathlon. She thinks that the combination of the two different types of triathlon has made her a better athlete this year. The technical aspect of cross triathlon is very enriching for the road triathlon and makes Eve even a better cyclist and runner. The intensity and more strength-based competitive atmosphere helped Eve in the Middle and long distances in order to perform and achieve better results. In cross triathlon she wants to see where the path takes her and if it happens that she can meet the criteria for a professional license, she will be very happy to become a professional athlete in this niche sport as well.

Dear Eve, whatever your dreams and goals are, The whole Vimazi Team is always fully behind you and we look forward to being a part of your exciting journey. We know that the success will be yours and the pace might always be with you as well.
