Tradition meets innovation
Since Saturday, September 16, 2023, the world's first "pace-tuned" running shoes have been available for the first time in Eastern Switzerland, at the traditional Schuhe & Sport store on the Landsgemeindeplatz in Appenzell.
The parents of the current owner had already taken over the shoemaker's business from Johann Baptist Tobler in 1941. In 1981, the specialist shop was passed on to Bruno Langenegger, who has since continued the successful business in the second generation and was able to celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2010.
Andi Fässler joined in November 2013 and the two entrepreneurs founded the current company Schuhe & Sport. The range has been steadily and successfully expanded to include sports, Andi's core competence.
On the occasion of Vimazi's first visit to Andi and Bruno, it quickly became clear that the two cosmopolitan entrepreneurs wanted to strengthen their range with innovative running shoes and thus expand their expertise in the region. “I like to give new brands a chance, because for me new products always mean a chance to make a name for myself among customers,” says the enthusiastic Andi Fässler. The entire team at Shoes and Sport is looking forward to your visit and will be happy to introduce you to the Vimazi running shoes in person.
